About Meghan

Meghan has been a certified massage therapist since November of 2003 when she graduated from Mountain Heart Massage School located here in Crested Butte. Her practices include Swedish, Sports, Neuromuscular, Deep Tissue, Hot Stone, and Prenatal massage.  Meghan has been studying and incorporating Ortho-Bionomy into her bodywork since 2007.  She loves being a massage therapist and feels it is such a rewarding and an amazing line of work to be in.  She learns so much from each and every body she works on. Meghan also teaches and participates in Aerial dance with the Crested Butte School of Dance.
        Meghan has been living in Crested Butte since June of 2002. Her husband Kyle Skinner is an amazing carpenter and has built many homes in and around Crested Butte. They have two boys and enjoy snowboarding, biking, hiking, & climbing. Crested Butte is such a special place and they feel so blessed to get to live here.

Pamper yourself with light to medium pressure, to rejuvenate, relax and create balance in your body (also assist with acclimating to the high altitude)

Utilizing a muscle rub cream with deep long strokes to relieve severe tension in muscles & fascia. May involve some movement to allow muscles to release and get in a little deeper. Great for after an intense workout, training, bike ride, run, ski,....

Amazing for before and after events, exercise, etc. Involves stretching and movement to help ease tension in the fascia and increases circulation while using arnica and a cream specific for your muscles

Prenatal Massage:
Assists in nurturing both mother and baby while improving circulation, mobility, and the aches and discomforts that can come with pregnancy. (Recommended for women after their first trimester)

Helps with injuries and pre/post surgery by easing pain in our muscle and joints while increasing movement and circulation.

Cupping:
Massage cupping is a tool used with massage. It stimulates whole body relaxation, oxygenation and detoxification while promoting relief of pressure and it detoxifies metabolic debris in muscle tissue, fascia, and skin. Massage cupping also increases range of motion, breaks up adhesions, and promotes healing in scar tissue and it increases lymphatic drainage and promotes circulation. Massage cupping can also possibly help with tight and stiff muscles, back pain, sciatica, piriformis syndrome, ITT band pin, rotator cuff injuries, plantar fasciitis, respiratory conditions, emotional balance, & cellulite.
